"The 2019 national budget will be ready for the President's signature next week. The House of Representatives is sticking to the Wednesday target of approving the Bicameral Conference Report on the GAA for 2019," House Appropriations Committee Chairman Rolando Andaya Jr. said in a statement last Tuesday.
Everyone is aware that our government is using the reenacted 2018 budget since the congress has failed to pass the spending law before the end of 2018.
It took the house of representatives 4 months of budget hearing and debates before they submitted it to the Senate on November 2018, giving them not enough time to work on it.
The good thing now is that the national budget for 2019 was assured to be ready for Duterte�s signature next week and will hopefully minimize the issue regarding such delay.
