The Department of Education has confirmed the schedule of the opening of classes for the school year 2019-2020 to be on June 3, 2019. DepEd Usec, Jesus L. R. Mateo, made this confirmation through a text message intended for Manila Bulletin.
This is in connection to RA 7797 or “An Act to Lengthen the School Calendar from Two Hundred (200) days to not more than Two Hundred Twenty (220) Class Days”
The previous schedule of activities for Public Schools shows that the In-Service Training (INSET) for teachers will be conducted from May 27 to May 31, 2019, and that the opening of classes will be on the following week.
