With the 2019 National Budget of the country amounting to 3.757 Trillion Pesos, many professionals, including teachers, begun to be hopeful for the increase in salary, bonuses, and allowances as promised by the president.
It remains unclear, however, whether the president's promise to increase the salary of the public school teachers would be realized this year since the palace says that there a lot of concerns regarding the appropriations of the recently signed nat'l budget.
On the other hand, public school teachers may soon be entitled to receive an additional bonus of P1,000 to be released on World Teacher's Day and another P500 for the Annual Medical Allowance.
