China needs teachers from the PH, Salary (Php 62,000)

In accordance with the memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the Employment of Filipino Teachers of English Language signed by the Philippines and China on the 10th of April, 2018 in Boao, China, the Department of Labor and Employment has announced that China will be hiring 2,000 English teachers from the Philippines in the next 2 years.


The bilateral agreement says that teachers will be receiving Php 62,000 monthly salary and that the agreement is renewable every two years. An initial of 2,000 teachers would be deployed in the next two years.


Qualifications:

1. Must be employed by private higher education institutes in the Philippines

2. Must NOT be currently employed in public institutions in the Philippines;

3. Must have obtained a bachelor’s degree or above from normal universities or in education or
English language from Philippine educational institutions accredited by the Ministry of Education of the PRoC;

4. Must have a valid certificate of registration above intermediate level and professional license issued by the Philippine Board of Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT)

5. Has not been charged or convicted of any crime or administrative offense

6. In good health condition

7. Has no mental disease or pernicious habits such as drug addiction and excessive drinking, as certified by the Filipino teacher;

8. Other requirements mutually agreed upon by the Philippines and China.


The recruitment, orientation, processing, and documentation of Filipino teachers-applicants will be taken care of the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration — Governing Placement Board (POEA-GPB).
