As the number of positive cases of the COVID-19 continues to rise, the opening of classes in the country for School Year 2020-2021 which is originally set in June 2020, may not happen hypothetically.
DepEd will make sure that our school children will be well taken care of away from the risk of getting infected by this global pandemic, so they would consider the postponement of the opening of classes in June.
In a proposed tactical and strategic plans by DepEd, it includes possible scenarios that may occur depending on the development of this national health crisis.
One scenario pertains to the postponement of the opening of classes in June as a safety precaution. Also, DepEd offices and work frames are also affected which compromises the department to function in regular order.
Nevertheless, the public is advised to wait for the official issuance from the DepEd regarding the final decision whether or not the opening of classes will be moved or remain as planned.
