The Department of Education is planning to work with the Local Government Units in distributing printed learning materials to students especially those in the high-risk areas.
DepEd Undersecretary Diosdado San Antonio explained in an interview that to ensure that all learners would have access to education, they will be seeking the help of their barangay officials and local government units to distribute the learning materials.
“We will work with our ever reliable local barangay officials or local government officials that may actually have the manpower, volunteers who can help us distribute them,” said Usec. San Antonio.
He also stressed that teachers who are willing to reach out to their learners may also distribute the materials following the health guidelines set in their localities.
"In certain areas where teachers are willing, they may also do like deliver the learning resources to their learners," he added.
