The proposal to conduct face-to-face classes in low-risk areas under the Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) has been approved by President Duterte during the meeting with cabinet members on Monday.
DepEd Secretary Leonor Briones made this proposal that schools in low-risk areas should be allowed to conduct limited face-to-face classes following the stringent health standards.
She emphasized that limited face-to-face classes do not mean everyday classes. It would only be done to a maximum of two days a week.
Sec. Briones also stressed that not all schools in low-risk areas will be allowed to conduct limited face-to-face classes as they need to pass certain requirements which include physical facilities and its preparedness for the face-to-face classes.
