The Office of the President, through the Office of the Executive Secretary, issued a Memorandum dated August 14, 2020, on the decision of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte upon the recommendation of the Department of Education (DepEd) pursuant to Republic Act No. 11480 (An Act Amending Section 3 of Republic Act No. 7797, Otherwise Known As "An Act of Lengthen the School Calendar from Two Hundred (200) Days to Not More Than Two Hundred Twenty (220) Class Days) to defer the opening of classes to October 5, 2020
In view of this, DepEd amends the provision of DepEd Order No. 007, s. 2020 titled School Calendar ad Activities for School Year 2020-2021.
