The Department of Education issues the DepEd Order No. 049 s. 2018 which amends the DepEd Order No. 025 s. 2018. The said order states that the start of the Christmas break which was previously announced to be on December 22, 2018 was changed and moved to December 15, 2018 instead. According to the department, this is to give importance in spending quality time with our families and to strengthen our emotional bond with one another.
