Sec. Benjamin Diokno announced that the government employees shall be entitled to salary increase scheduled this 2020.
According to DBM, an independent firm will conduct a study on the salary wage of the government employees which will serve as their basis in crafting the 2020 salary hike.
"Currently, the Governance Commission For GOCCs (GCG) is conducting Early Procurement for the independent researcher so they may proceed with the conduct of the study as soon as the 2019 General Appropriations Act is passed," stated by the DBM.
The Palace has then again called on Congress to pass the 2019 budget urgently as it would greatly affect the salary condition of the government workers.
