�Kayo ang isusunod ko this year. Kayo ang pinakamarami,� said by President Duterte during his speech in the groundbreaking ceremony at a National High School in Bulacan. Duterte has pledged again to raise the salaries of public school teachers this year following the recent pay hike granted to soldiers.
�I am willing to strike a deal in the presence of Secretary Briones (DepEd Secretary) sa mga maestra. You can choose the date January, bilisan lang ninyo then we can make even an agreement or manifesto or choose whatever kind of document, kayo ang isusunod ko this year,� Duterte told the teachers.
He invited the representatives of all public school teachers to come in Malaca�ang to plan and finalize the agreement in the said pay hike.
�Nanay ko teacher. Ako ba naman magloko sa inyo but I was talking to Diokno at the year end to find out how things are, could we afford,� he added.
He assures that the budget department has started planning for the government pay hike from 2020 to 2022 so there is nothing to worry about.
