Renewal of PRC ID's are still Accepted without Full CPD

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) recently announced, through their official website, that the renewal of Professional Identification Cards (PIC) are still accepted until December of 2020 even without full compliance of the Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

The government has decided to incorporate the CPD to all licensed professional across the country to ensure the proper documentation of the skills, knowledge, and work-related experiences that you gained during their service. It is also a way to continuously updating what they already know to what's in and effective to work in the modern society. For us, teachers, we are tasked to continuously attend or undergo training, workshops, and seminars to gain comply with this CPD requirement by the department.
However, it is no surprise that some, if not most, are still on the line of non-compliance and are then confused if it will now affect in the renewal of their PRC ID's. With this announcement from the PRC, we hope that many of us will be at ease in renewing their ID's until December of 2020 without full CPD compliance provided that they we will abide in the unit requirements of the CPD from then onward.
