Thailand's new project, "English for All", sets new opportunities for aspiring Filipino Teachers to work in the Kingdom of Thailand. DepEd and the Ministry of Education of Thailand recently had a meeting in fulfillment to the said project that is primarily to provide quality English learning to underprivileged and poor rural students in Thailand which will be implemented nationwide.
DepEd Secretary Leonor Briones clarified that the government-to-government hiring of Filipino teachers was initiated by Dr. Teerakiat Jareonsettasin, Thailand Minister of Education.
“English for All is a very good project in line with the Ministry of Education policy,” the Education Minister said. “This will reduce educational disparity as it provides an opportunity for all levels to access equal education and help create a higher competitiveness” - Dr. Teerakiat Jareonsettasin
Dr. Teerakiat Jareonsettasin expressed his deep desire and intention to hire more English Competent Filipino Teachers to work and teach in Thailand for their "English for All" project which has already established their recipient schools. Currently, they have few Pinoy Teachers already teaching under this project.
