DepEd seeks to release the April Salary, Clothing Allowance, Hazard Pay, and PBB 2018

In the recent executive meeting of DepEd officials with the regional directors, one of their top priorities is to release the salaries of almost 1 million teaching and non-teaching employees for the month of March and April as soon as possible. This is to practically address the needs of their employees amidst the COVID-19 national health crisis.

Other financial benefits such as clothing allowance, hazard pay, and the reconsideration of 2018 Performance-Based Bonus were also included in their plan of release.

DepEd Usec. for Finance, Annalyn Sevilla said, "Please remember that DepEd workforce is almost a million already, and processing of compensation/benefits takes time. We need to proactively process and prepare documents until it reach the banks for remittance to employees accounts. We need to take into consideration the urgency of tasks and at the same time follow existing financial policies and guidelines."

Needless to say that the Department of Education is tirelessly working to assist their employees yet the release of these financial benefits shall depend on the availability of funds.
