The Land Bank of the Philippines has again warned all its account holders of this new fraudulent act called "Vishing". On its official Facebook page, LBP explains what vishing is and how does it work.
As account holders, it is your responsibility to be extra careful of your important details. You MUST NOT disclose any of your personal or bank information to anyone or any entities that try to reach you via SMS, email, phone call, and alike.
VISHING (Voice or VoIP phishing) is the latest modus operandi of fraudsters that trick you into revealing critical financial information over the telephone.
Account-holders are WARNED not to divulge the following financial information:
- Card Number
- Card Expiry Date
- Credit Verification Value (CVV) at the back of your card
- One-Time PIN (OTP)
- User ID
- Passwords
Please keep in mind that Land Bank will never ask for your personal financial information and in case you notice any suspicious activities, immediately report it through Land Bank's 204/7 Customer care Hotline at (02) 8-405-7000 or 1-8000-10-405-7000 (PLDT Domestic Toll-Free Number) or email at customercare@mail.landbank.com
